    Fast playing monsters

I've seen this a lil in 10NL, twice with 9s hitting a set, once I had the aces overpair and once i had aq on aa9 board.

Since I usually wait for turn in villain's place with the argument of building pot, commiting villain a lil more and basically representing a wider range on the flop I wanted to ask you guys, why do you/other ppl fast play these kinda hands on flop? to get it in before scare cards appear? what are the merits in representing super big on the flop when u actually got it?

I would really like to understand this move...

    Re: Fast playing monsters

there could be many explanations for this.
first, some people dont like trapping with big hands and want to bet when they know they are ahead, especially in online poker. in the hand where you say you had AQ and the other guy had 99, with that flop, i would alsp want to get my money in if i had pocket 9, there are a lot of hands that could catch up to me.
some people also dont know how to extract money from those situations, meaning they scare off any opponents. it really depends on the player your up against and how they read the specific hand.

There are the majority of people who play like that and others who have their own ways they play. I for one don't play like that, only under a situation that might be good for me.
    COLTS ALL THE WAY!!!
