Mets trade Santana

Well a big market team did get Santana. It just happened to be the Mets. I can't believe they shipped the twins 4 prospects. The Yankees were offering MUCH better in my opinion.

Actually the yankees and red sox both had better packages. I think the Twins were trying to squeeze blood from a turnip and their greed cost them.

I'm predicting they won't be able to sign Santana for less than 23 million and 5 years. Maybe they could do 25 million and 4?

6 years, good lord. I didn't realize he was looking for something that long. For a pitcher 6 years is almost unheard of

ive never really liked the idea of signing any player for more than 5 years no matter what the position.
