I had a couple friends that were considering playing some poke online, they have played some live at the casino and home games and tried online for play at pacific but when i told them about the free bankroll online they were interested but im not sure this would be the best deal longterm if they continued to play. they both are good players and profitable at the casino in 1/2 nl holdem. Any one have an oppinion?.

Day Tripperr,

The free $50 bonus is a "one shot" deal and yes, you DO receive the free $50 into your account but that's it. You can get additional "deposit bonus'" every month or so, but thats as far as it goes.

If you play continually and online in cash games and cash tournaments, signing up for a rakeback program where you get a percentage of your rake (the amount the poker room takes from each hand played or as tournament fees) paid back to you each month.

You CAN'T sign up for both though, so you need to weigh the advantage of a quick $50 up front compared to the amount you'd earn in the longer term by signing up for rakeback instead.

Take a look at the rakeback programs we offer at Online Poker Rakeback Deals - Rake Rebate Programs, Bonus Codes, Reviews and more Rakeback

Best wishes,

Its an obvious choice this is a gambling site not a bank account. Who wants 1.34 at the end of every month what profit are you making on that.

Well your not really 'making money' via rakeback since it was originally yours but was taken by house rake. Your really just getting your money back.

Here is an email we received and the reply we sent them. It is pretty good advice.

Greetings,

I would like to thank you for enabling me to try Full Tilt Poker without any risk (and $50). The process was very efficient and straightforward. There are only two questions I have relating to this promotion. I think I know the answers, but I wanted to be sure without making assumptions.

1. If I decide in a week or so to deposit cash, I will get the matching bonus up to $600?

2. By taking this offer, have I exempted myself from setting up a rakeback account? Do you offer rakeback accounts? I've read many players are getting 27% rakeback, granted they did not get $50 free to start with.

Thank you for a fabulous experience and offer,

Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,

I think you have pointed out to us something we need to change in our site to clarify it for people. Thanks for doing that.

According to FullTilt "Once we send the $50 to the player it activates the deposit bonus. The maximum that a player gets for the deposit bonus would be $50."

If you choose the Free $50 you would also preclude yourself from getting rakeback on the account. We do offer a 27% Rakeback for our players AND give them the ability to refer other players to us which would earn 4% of their rake.

Many people ask which is better, Free $50 or Rakeback. The answer is, it depends. If you are going to play for a long time and poker is your form of entertainment, then rakeback is much better. If you are looking to just try online poker without any risk, then the Free $50 is the best option.

If you do decide to choose Full Tilt Poker Rakeback, please use this link Online Poker - Play Online at Full Tilt Poker Room to set up your account and you MUST use the Referral Code WDIAV When setting up your player account.

When that is finished, please set up your rakeback account with us, Online Poker Rakeback Deals - Rake Rebate Programs, Bonus Codes, Reviews and more Rakeback (bottom left hand side of the page). Our rakeback manager will set up your account and send you the log in information where you can see your stats and see how much you have coming back each month. Your rakeback is paid directly into your FT account on or before the 15th of the month for the prior months play.

Hope this helps,

WDIAV Support

I have been getting rakeback through WDIAV for around a year and have made over $1,000. Much more rewarding than a $50 shot.
