    Tournament Question

What do you guys think is more difficult to win (first place), a $5+.50 15k tournament freezeout or a $1+.10 5k person rebuy?

I personally like the idea of rebuy's, the prize pools get huge. However it's like swimming against the tide. Even when you knock someone out, they just reload. Getting to that first break when rebuy's end can be murderous. It puts me on tilt to see horrible players donking off chips and rebuys then knocking out a good player immediately after the break is over.

I like rebuys just because when you run deep, the stacks are more deeper than a freezeout which allows you to play with more room (average stack is usually an M of 20). Plus the payout structure is alot nicer, but obviously if you are going ftw there is always the chance of someone just having a massive stack in comparison to the others which makes it harder to win, where as freezeouts you will rarely see one massive chip lead.
It's bad luck to be superstitious

I like the rebuys too. The prize pool gets up there pretty good, but yet you have your disadvantages because like you said, you get someone out for them to just reload on you again. But that does make for the bigger prize pool.
    COLTS ALL THE WAY!!!

I prefer freezeouts. There are several players in rebuys who will just play wild and rebuy then keep up the pattern. It gets aggravating.

It agree with you. Prizes it is much more. But also tactics absolutely another (during the period докупки). It is necessary to take always into consideration that the contender can risk and win, counting on that that it can buy in addition counters and continue game.

Some of the rebuys are absolutely donktastic when people are shoving all-in every hand to boost chip counts at the table. If this is your strategy it can really backfire if you get moved tables after losing a couple buy-ins.

    Re: Tournament Question

I honestly think that rebuys were put into play so that the donkeys stood a chance at winning , lol. No im kidding, But I cannot stand the re-buys because of the donkeys, I always get knocked out with big hand against 38 or 26, and I will not rebuy to get knocked out again with another donkey hand.
Life isn't worth living unless you're willing to take some big chances and go for broke.

    Re: Tournament Question

I think rebuys may be the best value because of the donkeys shipping it in every hand for the first hour, but they're probably the most difficult to win for this reason too. Assuming you only want to get in for 1 buy-in of course.

If you're willing to rebuy 3-4 times then it's not as big of a deal I wouldn't think.

1 buy-in with a smaller field in a rebuy is probably more difficult to win than 1 buy-in with a larger field for a freezeout.

Maybe i'll put that theory to the test sometime. However it's hard to find the 6-8 hours it may take to play a tourney all the way through.
