    Re: AK?????

A-K is one of Doyle's favorite hands, especially if it is suited. I do not like to get married to this hand, as it is just A-high. A lot of players just shove it in with this hand, but I would disagree with that play. IMHO it really depends on position and the opponents left in the hand that make the decision for me (along with stack size). With plaenty of chips and no raisers, I would raise at least 4x BB to get any limpers out of the way. If you have a tight table image, you may even take out small pairs. Later, if there has been a lot of action, calling may be a good option, as some of the action is probably coming from someone holding your outs. I am ready to throw it away if I see someone that is not a loose cannon betting a flop that is rags. If you have only a few chips left, shove it in in any position!

    Re: AK?????

this is quickly becoming my most unfavorite hand, because if you raise 3timesbb pre flop most everyone will call with q, 5 5, 2, j, 10 or anything for that matter and if you dont hit the flop you are chasing. So most of the time I just limp to see what happens, if I dont hit I can get out the hand for cheap instead of comitting chips to the pot, hope this helps
[SIGPIC]IF IT WERE EASY EVERYONE WOULD DO IT....UH OH DID SOMEONE WAKE UP WITH POCKET ROCKETS

Ak is an excellent drawing hand. But have to be played as a drawing. Of course sometimes he have to be agressive. I use to pay allins with Ak. But have to be in mind that is a draw

AK is a gre8 hand, played from position or not, I always make a standard raise and a continuation bet no matter if i hit something or not. I always try to represent aces. However, if I get called or raise on the flop, I usually let it go

if i short stack i go all in. if i have a big stack:
1)if have no raises i raise it
    2)if have a raise i just call
3)if have more then 2 raises i think to fold this hand because one can have KK or AA!!!!!
but you dont know how to play in the flop go all in before this!!!!!!1

    Re: AK?????

lol well i dont play ak or qk or jq with big raises if infact i do. umm i may call jq kq up to about 300 chips some times 400 and raise these hands to about 120- 200 more than the blinds preflop. I Seldom call the reraise with these hands too.
