cheapovegas has a lot of deals, but be careful, if you go too cheap, you will get what you pay for. I have not been in a couple of years and I hear that downtown has improved a bit since I have been there. Also depends on how much gambling you are going to do. Some hotels offer comps, but buyer beware on all fronts. Research it and look for gotchas on deals that seem too goo to be true.

Personally, I love the Flamingo. Its location is great. They have a nice pool with a european sunbathing area. As for cheap, it all depends what you think is cheap.

I have stayed lots of places in Vegas. I like some of the Freemont Street hotels especially if you are looking for a cheaper hotel. I am staying at the Golden Nugget next trip. I like the poker room there and the bonus hand program.

There are numerous things to factor when you travel to Vegas. When I went I wanted to stay on the Strip and closer to the bars / clubs. It made it a lot more fun going out at night knowing I was close to everything and could wander in and out as I pleased.

Excalibur has rooms for pretty cheap. I gert mail from them and they are showing rates at $22.00/ night. try checking that out.

if you go off the strip a little bit like 2 miles you will find cheap hotels but vegas is full of good deals
