with some real searching an with travel bonuses i was able to get 2nights, usually not friday Sat but could get most other nights as cheap as 2 nights for around $35 total with kickback from travel site. Not bad $ 17 a night while grinding out 2 4

staying on the strip is a must for a short vacation, if you like to go out there regularly and are more budget oriented, find some good locals off the strip. The hotels there will treat you well to if you play in their casinos

Best off the strip is the Green Vally Ranch Resort and Casino

Next time I am thinking Fremont Street, maybe Binions

Everytime we stay at the Strip we never seem to get over to the Fremont Experience at night to check it out. I figure if I Stay there then at least I will see it?

Anyone ever stay at any of the Fremont Street hotel/casinos?
    Enjoy the Day!

bbgold.. Last June was in Vegas and stayed at Fitzgerald's downtown..It was a very nice hotel for the price.. Didn't even get to the strip, just to Rio's for the WSOP small event..but had a great time downtown staying there.. Golden Nuggett is great too, first time I ever went to Vegas stayed there.. their pool there is AWESOME!!!...And I have stayed on the strip twice.. loved it also.. just can't beat all the excitement,lights.. everything it has to offer!!!!

    Sounds Good

I don't know Fitzgerald's, will google it. Ya, Golden Nugget was supposed to be really nice since it's last owner change, haven't been there though. Last time I was near Fremont street was singing Karaoke at the Four Queen's ahead of a Grateful Dead concert, think Jerry's last one. Don't think they had the Fremont Experience up and running back then? Worst part was having car trouble and not getting into the concert, ugh

A lot has changed since then eh?
    Enjoy the Day!

It's better to stay on the strip if you don't have a car and plan to walk everywhere. Staying off the strip isn't bad it's more quiet
