wow ... this seems to be interesting ... let's say i play a tournament with a 5$ +0.50 $ fee , and the prize pool is a 5000$ guaranteed , and let's say 843 players registered , and in the first hour i managed to play my best game and i am in first place (wich is a 700$ prize) , but i'm still far far away from the money places , and the game would last for at least 2-3 hours if i'd play normaly , here comes my question : i can cash out now for the first place ? and if yes , that means i win the tournament ?...i read the article , but i did not see a specification about the time when u can cash out ...

I don't think you get the place in the tourny. I understand it to mean: your buy in is 5 + .50 and you get 1500 chips. So 2.50 goes to the tourny prize and 2.50 goes to your cash out. For every 1500 chips you earn/build/take, you get 2.50 as well. So if your chip stack is 7500 then you have earned 15.00... If you cash out you get the money and be happy.... or you take your chances that you will keep building your stack and place in the money in the tourny. the place and the cash out are separate. I don't think there is a time limit either, it's up to the player.

It makes for an interesting tourny, theorectically, the leader could cash out and open the field for a new leader, etc.

    Good Luck & Have fun!

You just have to register for the tournament. The tournaments very in buy-in amounts and will have a green "C" in the label. You can cash out at any time. They will round down not up ofcourse.

I think the cashout tourneys are pretty sweet if you can't play the whole tourney. If you triple your starting stack, you can cash out and make a little profit. That always a good thing instead of blinding out all your chips and possibly not making the money!
