    Roulette Discussion

What is your strategy when playing Roulette ? What strategy can be applied only in the online casinos, and what about live gaming ?

Honestly? I don't have a strategy, I go with gut feeling and pretty much never play the outside. I know, I'v got tourist gambling all over me hehe.

I don' have a strategy either. I know casinos post the numbers on those lit up displays to make people feel like there's a pattern, however roulette wheels are designed to be as random as possible.

Personally I like betting on red or black and having a few drinks.

Not bad . My buddy and I used to play a lot at Soaring Eagle in Michigan.

Once in Australia we were at one of the big casino's in Sydney and he put 20 bucks on 0 (they use European style wheels, not American) and hit a big winner. Needless to say, he paid for drinks that night.

It's really quite fun to play roulette. Kind of relaxing, slow paced, and watching the ball bounce around can be a thrill when you've got money on the table.

Alot of the new machine only casinos ( race tracks) that are popping up all over have the sit down version and it is a huge hit.

Indeed, you can spend hours at a table and the payouts are very enticing. Super addictive :/

    Re: Roulette Discussion

The oldest and most common betting system is the Martingale or "doubling-up" system, in which bets are doubled progressively. This probably dates back to the invention of the Roulette wheel, but every day of the week some gambler somewhere reinvents it, or some variation of it, and believes he has something new. Over the years hundreds of "sure-fire" winning systems have been dreamed up, but regardless of what system is used, in the long run it cannot overcome the house's advantage of the 0, or 0 and 00. This house advantage is the only system that consistently wins in the long run.

And I'll finish with a quote:
"No one can possibly win at roulette unless he steals money from the table while the croupier isn't looking." — Albert Einstein

I tried roulette a few times. If you can get on a good run you can win big. Butyou can easily lose it all back and some.

I saw a guy one time bet only red or black. He would bet the same amount each roll and if he lost he would double up the next bets and so on. He was winning and said he always played like that. I later tried it and I lost a bundle. Haven't tried it again.
